Platonic relationships are quite the challenge once you’ve been to the mountain top, but they do happen… maybe it is that undercurrent of raw animal tension that makes them so much fun.

As for the Ex-Girlfriend logic, it also applies to that “friend” who never made it to bat, let alone got on base. I am thinking of a guy who had the minerals to suggest to her (before we were married) that she leave me for him, if for no other reason then he is more local and her brothers best friend. Too bad douche bag, she said no. And now six years later we are still happily together and married and this guy is still painfully single and a loser. I won. No hard feelings of course because: I won. Not that this guy is a bad guy or anything, just… whoa… going after your buddy’s little sister who is engaged to a guy she had been with for 4 years? Honestly? Is your life that sad? Aren’t predators supposed to go for the weak of the herd? Funny part is the guy is a likable guy, and a long time family friend. It’s just something that pops into my mind whenever I see him and I know it has to be in his mind too (at least if I were him it would be in my mind). So I am always nice to him when I see him. After all no one should be a sore winner, and his shitty solitary existence is punishment enough for his unbelievable faux pas.

That’s funny - I thought about them when I wrote this but couldn’t really fit ‘em in since I don’t listen to them and haven’t seen them live.

As far as I’m concerned it’s about the music and not the makeup though, so if a band is talented that’s usually enough for me. OTOH, what I have heard of their music hasn’t really been my thing (I have a very eclectic music collection and like a wide variety of music - theirs just doesn’t seem to be my thing) and they seem kinda gimicky to me. Plus I heard or saw somewhere that they’ve thrown shit at each other on stage which isn’t my thing either - didn’t like GG Alin who did it first, don’t need it now.

But like I said, since I haven’t really given them a chance, who knows? Those thoughts are just from looking at them from a distance.

And just to ramble a little more on this topic… is this guy serious? those Mo’Joe guys thought he was the second coming. Like TLF is Al Gore with GOP membership card and “I love Jesus” tattooed on his ass. TLF made a good point about firing all the GM and Ford executives, but a better point would have been “Let the company fail and then those cuckolds will be out of a job.”

I saw that guy on Morning Joe this morning… Somehow I just knew to turn on the TV before I went to work… All those Mo’Joe types… they were practically going down on him. I swear that blonde swallowed Friedman’s a few million of his unborn sons on national TV. No offense to TLF, he had some good points about tying government bailouts to “green” agenda items… But lets get to the meat of the situation: FUCK THE BAILOUT. Who the hell is going to bail out the government? If the national debt doesn’t actually mean anything… why the hell do we keep track?

Good thing you didn’t see him on the Daily Show last night then. Jon Stewart did all he could to prevent the “wtf are you on about you spewer of obvious banalities” from bubbling up to the surface. My favorite part of his argument is comparing developing new energy technologies to Internet startups in the late nineties, etc., where in the latter case you did not have pesky things like the LAWS OF PHYSICS in the way of progress.
