Musical Theater And Zombification Come To The NFL

NY Giants apparently looking beyond the grave for help.

I grew up watching the Giants play football. During the 80’s and 90′s I was particularly rabid, rarely missing a game.  But in the last few years I’ve found that most team sports bore me senseless (with the exception of, and I’m not kidding here, curling).

Still, I’ll occasionally tune in for a few minutes to watch one of my NY teams play, and when I put the Giants game on this afternoon I was surprised to see that they had drafted long-dead actress, singer, and gay icon Judy Garland as a defensive end. In the classy photo of my television that I’ve attached below, you can see her being attended to by trainers after a particularly vicious hit.

I could have told them that Judy Garland wouldn't be able to take a hit.

I could have told them that Judy Garland wouldn't be able to take a hit.

Tactically, this was a bad move, as Giants lost again this afternoon.

Economically, this might work out nicely, as tens of thousands of high def televisions are likely to be installed in hair salons and card shops this year.
